Recruitment FAQ’s

How Should I Apply?

There is an application form that is available on the Careers Hub that should be completed and sent to Apply@finhampark.co.uk. Clearly state at the top of your application form which role and school you are applying for and the recruitment team will ensure it is forwarded to the correct manager. If you are unable to access this application form then hard copy forms can be sent to the HR Department at the address shown in Contact Us on this website.

When Should I Apply?

All roles will be allocated a closing date and sometimes time on that day. If no time is stated then applications will be considered until the end of that day. Please be aware of this and submit your application accordingly.

We would recommend that you complete and submit your application form at the earliest opportunity. This is because some schools may choose to interview as and when suitable applications are received, and may appoint a candidate and close the job before the advertised deadline without notice.

Can I Apply With a CV?

No. We do not accept CV only applications. CV and cover letters can be used to support a fully completed application form, which must still include a supporting statement.

Can I Withdraw My Application?

Yes, if you no longer wish to be considered for a role then send an email to Apply@finhampark.co.uk and your application will be withdrawn.

How Can I Be Sure My Application Has Been Received?

Once you have emailed your application form to us, you will be sent an email confirming receipt of your application form. This will be sent within two working days. If you do not receive this email, then please call the recruitment team on 024 7684 0809, Option 2 for HR.

What Happens When I Have Submitted My Application Form?

All applications forms are forwarded to the relevant school for shortlisting. If you are successful you will be invited to a selection process. We aim to contact successful candidates as soon as possible, however, during school holidays this may be slightly longer. If you have not heard from the Trust within four weeks of your application then your application has not been shortlisted on this occasion.

Who Should I Contact With a Query?

If you have query in relation to any part of the recruitment process then you can contact the team by phone, email or the on line contact form. All this information is held in the Contact Us section of this website.

What Should I Wear to the Interview?

We would recommend that you wear business dress.

What assessments Will I Have to Undertake?

Assessments vary enormously depending on what role you are applying for. If you are shortlisted for a role you will be sent all the information you need that is relevant to your assessment day. This will include timings, assessments, any preparation required and location.

Do You Offer Volunteering Opportunities?

Our Schools are always keen to hear from people who would like to volunteer. We would recommend that you contact the School you are interested in working in and find out what opportunities are available. All volunteers would be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

Do You Offer feedback?

If you are unsuccessful in your application at either the shortlisting stage or through the selection process then you can contact the HR team to request feedback. We will liaise with the relevant school to ensure that you are contacted and feedback given.

There Are No Suitable Roles at Present, What Should I do?

New vacancies are always updated on the website so keep checking regularly.

Eligibility and Right to Work, What Does This Mean?

Anyone who would like to work in the UK needs to prove his or her right to work. When you come along for your interview we will ask you to bring in some relevant documents so we can verify your right to work which is usually your passport, your long birth certificate combined with evidence of your National Insurance number or a valid work visa. Please note, an offer of employment cannot be made without your eligibility, so please don’t forget to bring it with you.

Will You Contact My Referees Before Interview?

The application provides an option of whether we contact your referees prior to the interview. We request two references on the application form and each referee has this option.
